Bethléem, prépare-toi, crèche, apprête-toi, grotte, reçois ; la Vérité est venue, l'ombre de la loi s'est dissipée, et Dieu, né d'une Vierge, Dieu apparaît aux hommes, prenant notre forme et déifiant ce qu’Il avait revêtu. Aussi, Adam est renouvelé avec Ève et ils s'écrient : Sur terre est apparue la Bienveillance pour sauver notre race.
Bethlehem, prepare thyself, crib, prepare thyself, cave, receive; the Truth has come, the shadow of the law has dissipated, and God, born of a Virgin, God appears to men, taking our form and deifying what He had put on. So Adam is renewed with Eve, and they cry out : On earth has appeared Benevolence to save our race.
